2016 Louisville Deer & Turkey Expo Recap

What a great way to spend the weekend with fellow sportsman. We’ve just returned from this year’s first Field & Stream – Outdooor Life Deer & Turkey Expo in Louisville, KY. As the official sponsor of the “Outfitters” portion of the show we had a great time meeting with outfitters and guides and talking shop. We had the chance to take in a few of the seminars and shows on Saturday too. Byron Ferguson’s Archery Trick Shot Show was a blast and worth a second viewing.

In addition to the exhibitors, seminars and shows we were amazed by some of the mounts from local sportsmen on display in the Trophy Deer contest.  Here are a few of our favorites;

A highlight of the show for us was time spent with Eric Caudill and his family representing Heroes Hunting. Eric, an active duty military member, was here supporting this great organization and told us all about their mission. Heroes Hunting supports WWII to present day military veterans by providing opportunities to connect with follow service members, share their stories, and partake in hunts. They had some really cool logo apparel for sale with proceeds going to support the organization.

We also had the opportunity to spend time with the team from the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership. Ariel and Cyrus were at the show to educate sportsman about TRCP and their mission of “Guaranteeing you a place to hunt and fish” so future generations of sportsman can share our passion for the outdoors.

Louisville was only the first stop for this great expo series so be sure to keep an eye out for the upcoming shows in Lansing, Columbus, Madison and Bloomington.  Stop by the Deer & Turkey Expo page on Fin & Field to get all of the details.
