Furuno NXT Open-Array Radar

Furuno has expanded its solid-state Doppler radar to include new open-array configurations. The NXT radar series features pulse compression and Doppler frequency-shift-sensing technologies. Designed for use with TZtouch and TZtouch2 displays, the NXTs come with a target-analyzer feature that changes the color of fast-approaching targets to red. Stationary targets, land or slow-moving vessels show up as green echoes. The arrays are available in 3½-, 4- and 6-foot sizes with 2.3-, 1.9- or 1.4-degree horizontal beam widths. Captains can see targets as close as 30 feet and as far as 72 nautical miles. The array sensors cost $5,400. Play Video Play Loaded: 0% Progress: 0% Remaining Time -0:00 This is a modal window.
