Seakeeper’s New Model

Seakeeper announced the launch of its newest gyrostabilizer — the Seakeeper 2 — during the 2018 Miami International Boat Show. A smaller version of Seakeeper’s line of gyrostabilizers, the new model is designed to eliminate up to 95 percent of boat roll on 27- to 32-foot vessels. It weighs just 414 pounds and is small enough to be installed in a variety of locations, including within a self-contained leaning post on deck. The Seakeeper 2 runs exclusively on 12-volt DC power, eliminating the need for a generator as well. A newly-designed touch screen control panel with an intuitive user interface will allow users to capture real-time performance information, too. A recent expansion of the company’s Mohnton, Pennsylvania, manufacturing facility will aid in meeting the increased demand for Seakeeper’s smaller gyrostabilizers.
