New Bear Edge Hunting Knife

Open it the other way, and the gut hook was protected. It was one of the neatest gifts I’ve ever received. Unfortunately, the stag and mouflon sheep didn’t play well with us on that trip and I didn’t get to use it. Bear & Sons Cutlery has a pretty cool twin-blade model with similar blades but, to me, is better because of its more compact and, I believe safer, design. It has a gut hook and drop-point blade for skinning, trimming and more. This double blade knife features a razor-sharp gut hook for quick and controlled cleaning of most large game animals and a 3-7/8” drop-point blade for everyday tasks. The Bear Edge is designed and built for hunters who pursue big game animals like whitetail deer, elk, and antelope who need a knife that can both assist in prepping wild game in the field and accomplishing common chores around camp. The 61519 features two 440 Stainless Steel blades: a functional gut hook and a sharp drop-point. Both blades are housed in a strong, aluminum handle that is dependable, comfortable to hold and simple to clean.

It was one of the neatest gifts I’ve ever received. Unfortunately, the stag and mouflon sheep didn’t play well with us on that trip and I didn’t get to use it.
